Revealing washrooms habits of the brits

Probably some things should remain unseen or unsaid but apparently not according to the latest washroom habits of brits in the survey we were sent.

If your first question like ours, is what kind of person does a survey on this type of thing? Well the survey was funded by a major washroom services provider, although we here at ICS are not sure how truthful people would be or how serious they would take this type of survey...

Doubts aside, around 47% people when questioned responded that they will avoid the washroom at the workplace if it was seen as unclean. 48% of employees admit to regularly sending texts whilst on the loo and around half had mobile phone calls whilst on the loo. With 6% claiming they use laptops and send emails.

The survey did have a serious side, the reason for some of these questions are to identify areas of office washrooms which are likely to be contaminated by the hands of users. Usual problem areas are door handles and taps but the outcome points to contamination of electronic equipment, so think twice when borrowing a colleagues laptop!

Studies have shown that soft towels and mild soaps help to promote good hand hygiene combined with a good well implemented office cleaning service which will help to keep washrooms clean on a regular basis.
