Office cleaning funding - Regional Development
Programme for England (RDPE)
The RDPE aims to develop rural
businesses and build thriving rural communities. There are various
grants
available under the scheme and further information can
be found at www.defra.gov.uk/rural/rdpe.
The programme runs
from 2007 to 2013 and is jointly funded by Defra and the European
Union.
Enterprise Capital Funds (ECFs)
As many SME
founders will know, equity finance is one of the most useful forms
of funding in helping a
business grow but can be difficult
to obtain, especially with the high costs involved in performing the
required
due diligence, combined with investors favouring
larger, more mature businesses. This is where the ECF
initiative comes in – a government-appointed fund manager, Capital
for Enterprise Ltd, administers the nine
funds launched to
date under the ECF scheme, designed to provide equity finance to
viable SMEs that are
unable to attract investment from
venture capitalists or private investors.
Businesses wishing
to bid for funding will need to do so by contacting Capital for
Enterprise Ltd
via their website:
www.capitalforenterprise.gov.uk. Further information can also be
found at

Business Angel Co-Investment Fund (Angel CoFund)
An
offshoot of the Regional Growth Fund, the £50m Business Angel
Co-Investment Fund aims to provide
‘business angel’
investment into SMEs in an early, high-growth stage. Established by
a consortium of private
and public sector bodies, it makes
equity investments between £100,000 and £1m to SMEs in England,
particularly in those areas hardest hit by public spending
