Trying to keep a contract cleaning company going through a recession. (part 1)

Many types of industries are experiencing difficulties in the current economic climate, they may be facing financial difficulties themselves or their clients may be struggling or both may be in trouble.

How is this affecting the cleaning industry and what can contract cleaning companies try to do to get through this difficult time?

Many cleaning companies have already found themselves losing clients due to these either cutting back or going out of business, and many clients are looking to reduce costs and possibly times and the amount of cleaning again putting more pressure on struggling cleaning companies.

Many cleaning companies have simply had shut up shop and try to find something else to do, others, and there has been a noticeable increase in this, is opting for consolidation. In effect, larger or more well placed cleaning contractors buying smaller or struggling cleaning companies which by economies of scale try to run the existing cleaning companies contracts at some sort of profit.

With clients examining every cost and double checking where they can save money, one of the first areas clients are putting the squeeze onto will be cleaning companies and the simple but unpalatable truth of this will mean many contract cleaners going out of business and leaner, meaner times for those who try to get by.
